Past Interns Stories:
“My internship with Youth for Christ in Southeastern Wisconsin was instrumental in my training for ministry. As a student in the Christian Ministry program at Trinity International University, I was continually learning new things about ministry. Thanks to YFC’s internship program, I was able to take what I was learning in the classroom and apply it to real relationships and real situations. My time with YFC really helped shape me as a youth leader, and later pastor. I am so thankful to YFC staff and financial partners that made all of that possible. I would not be the same without them. “
“…Being an intern for Youth for Christ, I was able to get behind the scenes, attend staff meetings, have a staff member oversee my growth and training in the ministry, and have the chance to get more ‘hands on’ with the ministries of YFC. I had a mentor who helped me along the way, giving me Godly advice, helping me balance my schedule between time in ministry, life, and school. What I learned from those three years as an intern was invaluable to my life now in ministry. It is because of those years as an intern that I have the wisdom, knowledge, and life experience to lead a Campus Ministry successfully.”
“Being with Youth for Christ in Southeastern Wisconsin has greatly surpassed the expectations for my training through Trinity International University. After I graduate, I will have acquired over 3,000 hours of supervised ministry experience. More than just something to put in a resume, YFC has prepared me for ministry that simply being in class could never have accomplished. I have been able to see the church work together in a community, seeking to reach a city as a whole. I have collaborated with the big-picture vision as well as worked in the details of planning events, scheduling meetings, and working with students. Some of my greatest highlights in the last four years have been the students whose lives have changed as a result of my work with YFC. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that was given to me.”
